Richard and Wendy Batchelor

Richard Batchelor 65 years onRichard and Wendy Batchelor have generously made a key gift to the For the boys. For our future. campaign.

Richard is a proud son of an Old Boy, father of an Old Boy and grandfather of six boys who have attended or are currently at College. A very big legacy! Many in the Batchelor family are keen rowers and also football and hockey players, so Richard and Wendy are delighted to have their gift go towards the Sporting Excellence Health & Wellbeing Centre.

Until recently Richard and Wendy lived in Marlborough but they have now moved to Christchurch where they are closer to family and to the College community. “Christ’s College has been an important part of my life and also my children’s and grandchildren’s, who have all benefited from a Christ’s College education. Wendy and I are thrilled we are able to give back to College and look forward to being part of the extended community.”

Executive Principal Garth Wynne says “Richard and Wendy’s generous gift to the For the boys. For our future. campaign will have a great impact not only on the campaign, but on our community. The Batchelors are a well known family within our community and are showing great leadership in making this important gift to the campaign. We are thrilled to have the Batchelors join our donor community. Thank you."
