Campaign Chair Garth Gallaway and his wife Lisa make key gift to For the boys, For our future.
Known as an arts and cricket champion, Garth Gallaway is also the campaign chair of College's For the boys, For our future fundraising campaign. Garth has been instrumental in launching and advocating for the campaign as College works to achieving our goal of completing stage one in early 2020.
“We cannot rest on our laurels; we must continue to innovate to set the standard. Our responsibility is to maintain College’s tradition of excellence," says Garth.
Garth is a partner in the Chapman Tripp Christchurch office, specialising in civil litigation, insurance law and health and safety defence work. He is a passionate collector of New Zealand art with a particular focus on painting and photography, was wine writer for Avenues magazine and is a member of Radio Sport’s cricket commentary team. Garth is also Chair of Maia Health Foundation, Chair of the Arts Foundation of New Zealand and a member of the Arts Council of New Zealand. Following in a long family line of Gallaway men who have attended College, Garth’s son is now a Year 12 College student.
“Having someone like Garth lead the campaign has been enormously beneficial. He has helped to create a profile at this extremely important time in College history and we are very grateful not only for his gift, but also for his time and energy," says Executive Principal Garth Wynne.
The For the boys, For our future campaign is the biggest transformational fundraising campaign Christ’s College has ever embarked upon.
