For the boys

Since 1850, Christ's College has prepared generation after generation of young men for success in an ever-changing world.

What we do now is key to how our young men emerge, with enduring values and minds that are curious, passionate and inspired, ready for a world of exponential learning.

For our future

As New Zealand and the world seek inspirational leaders of the future, it places Christ's College at the beginning of a new era which demands a bold vision.

This vision is inspired by the educational reality that to be recognised internationally as New Zealand's leading school for boys, and to inspire those boys to make an impact, we need to be more innovative than ever before.

“One boy at a time being inspired to change lives, communities and the world.”

Executive Principal

Campaign goals

The College Board of Governors has set a fundraising target of $7.5 million, which is half the proposed construction cost of the Sporting Excellence, Health & Wellbeing Centre. To date, we have raised just over $2.5 million towards the threshold build target. In order to begin construction in 2020, we now have an urgent deadline to raise an additional $5.2 million by June 2019.

Building new facilities

Recognising that growth on our existing site is constrained, our Master Plan takes College beyond the gates and out into the city.

Science Centre

The new Science Centre will be within the current College grounds on the site of the existing gymnasium and science block. The Centre will provide an exciting new learning environment to teach the pure sciences, and to explore cross-curriculum project learning and innovation.

Music Learning & Performance Centre

Connecting the College campus with the new Sporting Excellence Health & Wellbeing Centre, will be the new music facility. This will be an aesthetically pleasing building that relates to its surroundings. With a streetscape focus it potentially shares the internal music environment with external performance opportunities and community use.
